Hi All,
Few days ago I posted a request for information on this trailer.
Good News -- the trailer is in excellent condition -- and I purchased my first trailer -- and being vintage! I'm so excited.
I'm new to these type of threads and I don't know how to post a picture or else I would.
Thank you for responding to my earlier message.

Hi,
I lucked out and found my 1966 13' Aristocrat Lo-liner trailer with no need of repairs. The trailer had been stored by the original owner in a garage! I'm storing in a carpet but will be pampering my littler trailer. It is all original inside and out. I'm so blessed to have this little trailer. I know the Lord had his hand in this!
Best to you with your new trailer!!

Even when finding these little gems with no damage, it would be wise to re-putty the edge trim/J rail. The putty dries out over the years and can cause insidious leaking. Putty isn't expensive and good insurance for your *new* pets...

Funny, I was just wondering about that today if I should re-putty the edges and trim. Can you give me advice as to type/name of putty I should use?
Thanks.

RV putty tape sold at your local RV shop should be fine. Nowadays, it's called "butyl putty tape" but is a mix. Whitish in color with crinkly paper.
The old grey standard putty tape is good as well, but getting more hard to find. Grey/crinkly paper. Very easy to trim.
*Real* butyl tape has slick paper and is very sticky. Not recommended for most applications. It oozes in hot weather but is good for certain window/door installations.

Skookum, on your 66 Aristocrat, is the door solid or do you have window and does yours have a screen door. Do you know the measurements of your door? Reason I am asking my 68 Aristocrat,I think has a home made door and is a solid core door, I think that someone has cut down to fit the opening, or better yet, it is the original door that just looks like that. If it is, it's one ugly door.

Mine is a solid door with a aluminum screen door. It's a narrow opening. I'm not at home right now but can send you the measuremens later.

That's great, Thank you. That tells me there is a difference between Shasta and Aristocrat in door sizes. Can't to start work on mine. Enjoy the coming weather, yuck, suppose to get ugly weather here in Oklahoma.

Good luck with your trailer.
