Another thought if you used contact cement if you heat them up with aheat gun then press the ripples down would the contact cement maybe still grip. Maybe place a piece of plywood over the ripples and clamp it down or wedge it in place for a day or two until every thing drys and cools. Don't know just thinking out loud.

Did you use the veneer with the 3m glue on the back or plain veneer and just used contact cement?

Contact Cement and plain veneer. It has a paper back, but not self stick.
The heat gun helped a lot! I heated, then rolled, then repeated. I didn't clamp it but may heat it up again and try that. Don't know if it will hold over night.

I know it's too late for this go-round, but for what it's worth, I invested in a big ol' inch-and-a-half router bit and bought some 8/4 lumber to make my round corners. -Gary

Get a piece of PVC thats close to your curve and cut a section out that will match the curve and clamp the ##@@ out of it after to apply the heat gun? Only thing I can see to do. Looks good, though!

I was considering doing the same thing. Hey I like the "beef" effect. Looks like the trailer was framed very well too.

That's the way Canasta's cabinets were. So much less hassle with a solid corner! One can never have TOO MANY CLAMPS.... Thanks, Guys.

For an truly amzing display of craftsmanship, and much insight into curved wood, check out this Teardrop Build. You can cheat and skip to page 12 to see the bending-action, but MAN ya really gotta see EVERY SINGLE page of this build. It's amazing. www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=35081BTW, he soaks the 1/8" birch paneling in hot water for 45 min and clamps it to a form for 4days...

Thanks for both links. I still think this cold weather is slowing things down. I need a watering tank...

Sorry, Big Bill, just saw your post. It is better but certainly far from perfect. Am hesitating on redoing it. It's stuck, but slightly rippled.
SO, LOOKING FOR IDEAS.
I've thought of a mirror, or a board across the top to hang coats on. There will be a Wave 3 heater about 12 inches off the floor, so that area is taken care of. I've thought of some sort of cool mural (vintage scenes of course), perhaps even shelves for canned goods?
IDEAS, People! Thanks.

This deserves a bump. I was here at the time it posted, but don't remember reading it at the time. It didn't come up in early searches for me on this topic.
Cheers,
Rod
