I just completed a full frame off restoration of a 1964 forester 14. This project was a year in the making and along they way I picked up a few more brothers and sisters of the trailer I was restoring. It turned out to be helpful strategy to have a few full scale mock ups of what the thing should look like when I ran into an unknown area. Cudos to Mobiltec who's videos made me brave enough to chop into these old relics and hopefully give them another 50 years of life! That said, I need help posting pics! Im used to cut, paste, and maybe a file grab like craigs list etc. how do I use Http;?
Anyway, I have these Forester models. All unrestored accept for the '64
1963 16 1964 14 1966 17T 1968 14 ( measures 15)
also have a 1962 friendship vacantionaire

I will dump my photos and post . Love the sincerity of "pics or it didn't happen ." ! " Restored". Is such a subjective term. Agree, Pics are proof . I searched a 150 mile area for trailers.... At least I did until I ran out of room next to the garage!!! Foresters in Minnesota And Iowa of course are not uncommon trailers. I like them because they kept the canned ham shape through 1969.

Welcome to the forum Handley. Look forward to your pics What size is your 62? The box is about 13 1/3 feet. Standard layout. While working on it I realized the roof had to go and the door side had a crack so it's getting new skin this week. Any photo of your fleet you can share?

handkey, welcome to the forum, really great to see you here with those beauties. I see by your lineup that you were bit by the bug, and hard too. I love seeing all those lined up like that, especially with the great surroundings, it looks like a gorgeous trailer park I'd love to camp in.
BTW, what part of Minnesota are you in? My dad was born and raised in a tiny little town in Minnesota called Tracy. It's the only place in Minnesota I've been since he still has family and friends there. The first time we visited I was about 13, and in love with Little House on the Prairie. Dad was showing me the map for our trip and I saw Walnut Grove looked really close and begged him to take me there so I could see the town Laura used to live in. Didn't happen, and of course later in life I found out that's not where she really lived. But that and memories of all three of his brothers and their families coming over to watch the Vikings play are some of my favorite memories from childhood.
Sorry for the rambling on, you just brought up lots of neat memories and have a bunch of one of my favorite trailers. I'm kinda jealous actually about all the foresters you found, I hope you enjoy them a bunch, this is a cool, addictive hobby.

Thank you. My plan is to restore ,camp ,sell ,repeat. I am obsessed with these trailers and the fact that Forester hung onto the classic canned ham style longer than most. From 1961-1969 they kept the same shape and made only cosmetic updates . Now I'm rambling!!

I've never seen the inside of a Forester door. Everything they built was Beefy. I heard they were called the tank of the vintage world. Your campers are great. You must own half the Foresters in the Midwest.
