Hi Larry, Very cool! Can you just walk around here and explore? Thanks, Rod Yes you can Rod. This ghost town has a couple of residents and that's the main reason these trailers have not been all shot up. Many of the trailers I find out there have been vandalized including being all shot up.

It should buff right out in a couple weekends....

In all of my exploring and mining camp videos you'll see old trailers from the 40s, 50s and 60s. And in many of the abandoned mining camp cabin videos you will see appliances and other things from vintage trailers used in the cabins. Miners would drag a trailer up to the claim and live in it while building a cabin. Then once the cabin is finished they would pull all the useful stuff out of the trailer and install it in the cabin. Everything from the stove, refrigerator and heater to the windows, shower and toilet would be used. Miners were very conservative people. They used what they had. Sometimes the cabin would be built right up to the trailer so that the trailer and cabin became one.

Y'all know I don't approve of caulk... but this poor thing might need a tube or two. So, you have my permission! LOL.

Does anyone think they can identify the trailer in this photo?

Could be almost any canned ham. Here's another picture (I think). Seems to have an unusually long tongue. Also, interesting cutouts in side of closet.

OK, OK...here is my wag stab in the dark at an ID based solely on the pretty unique shape of the wheel well cut-out and general size and placement of the curb side windows. I think the tongue was modified to hold more than propane bottles. Too bad the door is missing. I think it is a 1954 or 1955 San Gabriel...open this thread and scroll down til you see that NICE San Gabriel and compare...that is my story and I'm sticking to it...AND if it is a San Gabriel, a POX on the vandals) and their future offspring for what they did to her!!! californiafeaturedtrailer.blogspot.com/
