Thanks Larry I will look more closely into that video, that's cool the same thing for a threshold can be a jamb. So those pieces are original to my camper. Hmm. Well of so, it seems that mine didn't have a screen door. In any case, does the threshold need a stop if I don't need a screen door? No it doesn't. The bend in the threshold also helps it keep it's shape when being stepped on all the time so I using that threshold even if there is no screen door. The rest can be 90s. Any metal shop can make all these for you.

Please do continue to link me to a video of yours that may help as you have. I really appreciate it. Is at least the sheet metal that's appropriate for this purpose available at the common stores?

I agree with Larry that you can just have a local shop bend some for you. The biggest problem I see is that you are missing a striker plate, which doesn't matter too much while you don't have a proper handle on there. The one you do have is from a screen door. If you did want to go with another door,it would be best to go with CH. If I'm not mistaken, your in that neck of the woods. A very costly ship on a door from CA.
Thanks,for the thought Dan..

Hi there trailertrasher so you are the one Dan was talking about! Lol. Well thanks to you as well, I have a question regarding your comment on the striker plate. Can I incorposted one there on the jamb pretty easily?

I am still in need of one of these. I am considering trying to make one out of 1/8 inch aluminum, it would never get bent and beat up, I have access to an aluminum welder, and have been practicing welding aluminum a bit, If I can get the right blade to cut it using my flooring cutter I could cut the small thin strips needed then weld it up and sand it down and polish it. but thats a lot of work, Mobiltec needs to to make and sell them when he gets his brake, I'd pay a pretty penny for one.

Well you opened the door when you mentioned you were buying the harbor freight brake, you create a door you know we are going to bust through that thing like the cool-aid man.

Well I can only make thresholds and headers with the HF brake. I would need an 8 foot brake to make jambs.

The harbor freight brake would at least get me a header and threshold that I don't have... LOL

I keep wondering somwthing. And mindful of the fact that too I have not seen a physical brake yet to see how they work. But is it impossible to do a 6 ft strip in 1 foot increments with the cheap HF brake or similar tool? Provided that you are very exact with measuring where to bend it each time? Or maybe it's essential to do the bend all in one shot.

You might not get the cleanest bend, but if you go back and forth, only bending a tiny bit each time, you should get something usable. Kind of like using a hammer and a vice to slowly bend a 90 degree into flat stock that is longer than the vice jaws.
