Keep a close eye on the vent. Some of us have had failures with Tempro. If it's "stuck" you should be OK, but very helpful to check.

Thanks VK! I will keep an eye on it for sure. It did rain Friday evening and all day Saturday. No leaks from what we could see on the inside anywhere. Was very worried Saturday since I wasn't home all day to keep an eye out but my wife kept me posted all day. My goal this week.......is to get my garage back in the OCD shape it was in before I got the trailer. Also hoping to go down to the court this week for the next step in the title process. Have a great week everyone!

I'm still chugging away at hanging projects around the house that must be finished before the Shasta starts. But in my searching for tile supplies for the house, at Lowe's, I did find a box of Armstrong VCT for 2.50 . There are a couple tiles missing, and a couple damages, but for that price I figured we could make it work. We are planning on a blue based paint scheme, and these are light gray (pewter is the color I think) so they should go well with a dark blue tile.

I plan to do a two-color scheme, but wasn't sure if a box of each was enough? You snagged a great bargain finding a damaged box!

I have an inspection scheduled for June 22nd with the Ohio State Patrol in regards to the title. The overall process takes 10-12 weeks due to "down" time. The overall expense will be around $250, including the title fee but the title will be "original" once all is said and done. The process starts with sending out for a title history. Which tells you the last person(s) the title was attached to. It also discloses any liens that may be on the title as well. Once you receive that, you must send a certified letter w/return receipt to the owner listed and explain how you have come into possession of the trailer. They have 30 days to respond/handle the title. You then take the title and fill out/have notarized an affidavit for a court ordered title request. Once you have that signed by a judge (took me 5 minutes to have signed) you go pay for a salvage inspection fee (actually a VIN verification but the salvage inspection encompasses that). Once the inspection is completed, as long as everything matches (title history report versus the Ohio State Patrol VIN verification) the judge will issue an order for the title.

Sorry novrmyhed I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I thought I was posting my above reply to the "what you did today thread". Looks like quite a ordeal to get the title.. but at least when you are done you will have a clear title, and not just a tag. It works a little bit different here in GA, but you don't have to have a title, so they don't go though all that. Brian

In regards to the title, yeah I am just happy that it will be clean/clear title. I have been worried about it since the cost of the rebuild kept adding up. Lol.

Good morning everyone! We ordered the curtain fabric a few weeks ago. My mother in law was kind enough to do the sewing. We are extremely happy with how they turned out. On a different note. The rims are painted and the new tires are getting mounted on the rims today. We are going to put the axle back on, repack bearings and then put the tires on. The tires we ending up choosing are from etrailer.com. They were 69.95 each and had great ratings. Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range D

Those curtains are perfect!! Nice choice. I'm curious about your plans for that upper bunk. What style will you be putting in? I've been thinking about what to do with mine... I know I want to have one, but I'm not crazy about the original style.

For the bunk, we are going to keep the piano hinged bunk concept (as it was originally in ours), but I am going to try and build it so the last hinged section, instead of going up and against the ceiling, it will actually fold down around the height of the bunk window to allow for bins/storage when not in use. Storage has been a concern of my wife's since the beginning. Personally, I am not worried too much about storage itself but do feel the bunk can be utilized when not in use......and in a way that when sitting on the gaucho, you don't hit your head. I will post pictures once I do get it built. There are a few more things on the list before starting that.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do. I'm hoping to come up with something that is useable space when not in use as a bunk. It will only rarely, if ever, be used as a bunk. It's mostly just hubby, kiddo and myself but if a niece or nephew were to join us then we would want the option.

Just us and our 2yo but always the possibility of our niece/nephew. I will post pictures once I figure out what we decide to do.
