Evening everyone. Today we got the roof back on......I cursed the idiot that made the camper slightly wider than before (OH....wait, that was me). Got the back skin on as well and the baggage compartment door. Also got half of the door clasps on. Ordered glass yesterday for the front window and they called this morning to let me know that it was already finished. Went and picked it up before they closed. Also ordered new trailer tires. Overall a good day. Probably no working on the camper tomorrow, we are going to Cirque du Soleil in the afternoon with my dad/step mom. My goal is to have the trailer buttoned up in two weeks so we can pull it out from the garage and get the Fantastic Vent Fan installed and the camper back outside.
Have a good night!

I used the RinTin unofficial recommendation... Take 1/8" off every dimension...

I used the RinTin unofficial recommendation... Take 1/8" off every dimension... Dan, I thought I had used that train of thought as well.....but apparently I did not. Always need to remember to measure twice, cut once I guess. Lol. It didn't help that I didn't have much to go off of on the rear end due to rot. Plus I think the new butyl tape was a bit thicker and made a difference as well.

Yesterday I got the remaining hardware on, including the drawers. Also put on the remaining door catches. Swept the camper out as well. Tonight I put in the jalousie glass for the front window and then the two side pieces of glass. Missing a piece of aluminum "glazing" strips. (See "wanted" section lol). Have a good evening!

Been quiet for a while. A special thank you to trailertrasher for the aluminum glazing strip I was missing. Shipped and arrived the next day. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! In the past week I have ordered curtain material from Sailrite and that arrived today. Applied Bondo to all major dents/dings just to smooth out a bit. Installed the front window. I trimmed all of the excess butyl tape. Tonight I am going to sand the Bondo. Double check for anything I may have missed. Hopefully I can put on the j-rail tomorrow evening. This Saturday we are pulling it out of the garage and installing the Fantastic Vent. Looking forward to wrapping this thing up very soon. Also am in the process of getting an Ohio court ordered original title issued. I will let you know the process once I have successfully completed it. Hope everyone is well!

Apprehension started last evening/today about pulling the trailer out of the garage from under cover. WOW, I haven't been this nervous in quite some time. I know my luck....and perhaps that is why the apprehension. I guess I can only keep my fingers crossed and hopefully there won't be any leaks once it's out of the garage. All I can do is learn from my mistakes if I do find any leaks. Plenty of mistakes have already been made during this adventure.
I did get the majority of the Bondo sanded last evening. Also put on a "custom" vent cover where the furnace vent used to be. I still plan to get j-rail back on this evening. Have a good day everyone....the weekend is almost here!!

Nothing much in regards to difference but here are some pictures for you voyeurs.......... Drawer fronts/latches/pulls on: Fabric for the curtains (top right on stove top). Matches better than in the picture: Front window in after jalousie glass was replaced (used to have an air conditioner in the middle and the side panels both had cracks)

Dad Rambles......I used Rustoleum spray cans in the color I wanted, then added 3-4 coats of the Rustoleum Enamel gloss high heat engine spray for the shine/protective coat. (http://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-Automotive-260771-11-Ounce-Degrees/dp/B006ZLQ0JI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1463065751&sr=8-7&keywords=rustoleum+high+heat+enamel) Really happy with how it turned out. I needed to add another coat to the fridge, as I used the same items, but everyone tells me to "quit worrying about it". Lol

Evening! Rain off and on all day yesterday. Today....rain, sleet, snow. Smh. The camper still sits in my garage. Hopefully later in the week I will finally be able to pull it out from the garage and get the fan installed. Will post when it happens. Have a great week!

Well, last evening we pulled the trailer from the garage. Installed the Fantastic Fan Vent and then buttoned it up with Trempro 365. We are due to get rain late this evening and throughout tomorrow.....guess it's better sooner than later for the leak test. Nervous and a bit relieved for the trailer to be almost wrapped up. My mother in law is almost finished with the curtains. I am going to order the fabric for the cushions next week. I also hope to do any paint prep on June 2-3 and then we are going to paint it the 3 and 4. We had gone back and forth between the z-stripe (which this year did not have) and something more "custom". My wife refused to let me do the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo because she said the camper is already going to draw attention and all she wants to do is camp in it. Lolol. I think we are going to actually stick with it's current scheme and do black on the middle stripe and front/back lower halves, the remainder white, and then do a black and white striped awning. I will post pictures when I do something that warrants pictures. Have a good weekend everyone!
