The 1/4" Ash plywpopod they sell at Macbeath in Berkely is MDF core. When I bought some 5 years ago, it was plywood core, but I guess no longer.

We are a long way from needing birch for the Goblin, but it sounds like I better start saving up! We'll be heading down to San Diego in a couple weeks, and also need some alder to make frames, so we are stopping here: https://forestplywood.com to see what their stock looks like. They also have a warehouse in La Mirada.
A wood working friend who moved out here to the desert from LA recommended both this place and Anderson Plywood.

I haven't seen anyone come in here for the southeast, so here's what my research is showing. I've watched plenty of mobiltec videos, so I'm about ready to start tearing things apart. But first, I must find a good source for Birch.
There is a place in Summerville South Carolina, Berlin Meyers, that has it for about $62 a sheet.
The next closest place to me which is up just south of Atlanta. That is Rick Hawkins cabinets, he sells it for $50 a sheet, and he will actually color match shellac if you could send him a piece for $70 a sheet.
My third option, is to special order through the Columbia Forest Wood Products program at Home Depot. Yes, I hate Home Depot too but they will allow you to order as few as one sheet if you want. I'm going to order a sheet of that, since they have that program and see what it looks like. I've used their 1/2 stuff on my teardrop, and It looks pretty nice, seems pretty stable.
I envy the folks in other parts of the country, but just does not exist around here in 1/8 inch the sheets everywhere that I call they want to sell me 1/4 inch but many of them have never heard of 1/8 inch. I called at least 20 stores within a 300-mile radius of Savannah Georgia a couple days ago.
I will update back when I get the Columbia Forest stuff in and post a couple pics..

Can we order the Columbia Forest Wood Products 1/8" birch at any Home Depot? Their website says 1/4" is as thin as they sell. Let us know where it was actually milled (the label) when you get it.

According to the rep on the phone, yes. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about it. I hope that it is quality stuff. They really push the purbond, formaldehyde free glues. The stuff I am building my teardrop with seems to be of good quality, and is made in the US, so I'm hopeful. I will get a piece, shellac it and post up some photos, hopefully in a couple weeks. The lead time is 10 days on an order. Here is a link to the product page. www.columbiaforestproducts.com/product/columbia-radius-bending-plywood/

Be cautious of "bending" ply, as it is used as an underlayment and meant to be covered with formica, or stain grade veneers, which can possibly be unstable in an environment like our trailers. All bending ply I have seen has a rough or stringy feel to it and doesn't like being sanded to a 'show' finish. You might ask the rep about that.

It is supposed to be a finish grade on one side according to the rep. I'm going by tomorrow to get it ordered.

We checked out Forest Plywood in National City (San Diego), but they are wholesale only, can't buy just a few sheets. We also tried The Hardwood & Hardware Co. They had 1/8" Baltic birch in 5x5 sheets for $15/ea, and only chinese stuff in 4x8 (who is buying this stuff if it is such bad quality?). Then we tried Lane Stanton Vance Lumber Co in El Cajon. Same story. Their 5x5 sheets were $12. Might be useful to reskin the inside of the entry door and possibly small areas in the galley. One place I overlooked was Frost Hardware in San Diego. I sent them an email today, stipulating that Chinese sourced plywood won't do. I am going to email the places listed on page 1 here in the LA/Orange county area, too. I think Ganahl looks like the best bet, as in it is closest. We hauled the Goblin over to Scott's last week for the floor and roof restoration, and he has started giving us a list and estimates on what needs done. It is not in too bad shape, he says he has a Shasta that needs a complete tear down.

The results of the hunt for 4x8 sheets is grim. I emailed all of the places in So California that were mentioned in this thread, and so far none of them carry it. John from Weber Plywood suggested Austin's in Santa Ana, who I have not heard back fom yet. That is the last one.
John was also very forthcoming about the situation in his reply to me, he added, "There is nothing on the market right now that is truly "Baltic" or Russian Birch. Even though the Chinese begin with the same product as the Russians because they steal it from Russian forests, their laminating skills are next to none and we've found it delaminating on delivery." Well, that is discouraging.
I hope gunguy05 comes back with good news.
Right now, I am ready to look for an alternative to birch. I am not trying for 100% authenticity on my trailer project, I just like the look of shellacked or varnished wood, as opposed to painting it. My rehabilitator is ready to start on the floor and frame, and having some at the ready would be nice.

It is not in too bad shape, he says he has a Shasta that needs a complete tear down. Ganahl is buying Chinese birch now. They have been doing it for about 2 years. Last time I got good birch from them was when I did the 57 Shasta. I have had very bad luck with the people at Ganahl the last two times I've been there. They treat me like crap, blame their bad materials on ME, take no responsibility for THEIR mistakes and have very uneducated people working there now. It took two of the people at the counter 10 minutes to come up with a calculator so they could add two numbers together. I told them at least 5 times what the answer was and they wouldn't believe me until they saw it on a calculator. I won't be going to Ganahl lumber any more.
