Thanks. I bought a box of headboard lights at a garage sale a while back and have been re-working and installing them in my vintage restorations for quite some time. I was surprised to even find them , as most people have no idea they even exist. Let alone a box full of them. One pair had light blue globes, and I could not see using them in a camper, but I sold them to a lady that was decorating with blue and just had to have them.

I have a question.. I noticed that you used full sheets of plywood on the sides rather than framing. Was the original like this, or is it a personal preference? I am rebuilding from the ground up and I require new walls, and I had not seen one before without framing.

camperdude I think you have done a beautiful job in creating your trailer. I noticed you appear to be using repop model A Ford tail lights With the glass lens. If you are please hook them to a 12 volt power source on a dark night then back off a 100 feet and imagine yourself coming up on your trailer may be 20 or thirty mph faster than the trailer is moving, you are half asleep or maybe slightly impaired and used to seeing modern tail lights instead of what you will be seeing. Could you see them in time to react without disaster? I think those lights are beautiful I used to use them on antique builds a lot. Now the next thing is on a bright sunny day you are in traffic and the car ahead of you, for some reason slams on his brakes will the car behind you see your trailers brake lights in time. Might I suggest using at least 32 ford lights with halogen bulbs or better yet the led conversions. They still aren't great but better that the model A lights. I hope you don't take this as a insult but as a fellow nut just worrying about you and your families safety.

Bill.no insult taken. As a matter of fact I have LED bulbs in them. Unbelievably bright. Yes...I like for my rods and campers to be seen...especially with today's cell phone drivers!! I am very outspoken about bright taillights. These came off my '48 Chevy pickup when I went to a different style. I have installed LED taillights on every camper I have built. If I can find the pic I have of them when they were on my truck I will post it.
