Hi, I just found this site while checking the old Shasta site. I had my whole trailer restoration story on there under SOBs. I will have to recreate my story and pictures here I guess. That may take me a while though. I have most of the outside of the trailer restored, ground up. but had to stop before doing anything to the inside because we moved from Colorado back ome to Houston. I know, but I have kids and grandchildren here.A girl 4 and a boy 2 there will be another girl born in the next few hours now. I just spent the last year and 3/4 remodeling our house and planned to restart the trailer project this winter but on a trip to Colorado last month I tripped on a couple steps and grabbed the hadnreil to keep from falling and tore a rotator cuff from the bone. I will have surgery next week, I think. May not be able to work on the trailer for a while still. As I may be layed up for a while I will start following the folks here with their adventures and plan out my new interior. I am a furniture maker by trade and have a full shop at my house. IT will be cool. I will do pictures along the way. Thanks Wayne Evans Houston Tx.

What is photo URL? IS there no way to load pictures without sighing up to photo bucket. I can't seem to get my computer to complete a down load. I have always up loaded pics right from my own list on other sites. I'm not all that good at this stuff.

I'm using Photobucket; it's the easiest way I've found. Once photos are uploaded, Click on links, then IMG. Paste directly into your post. (Don't use the icons, just paste)
Perhaps others will chime in to help.

Well, yes, my problem seems to be that fire fox is blocking my loading of photo bucket. I tried Flickr but that seems to be hard to use as well. I've uploaded photos to it but can't seem to retrieve them. IT keeps saying albums are empty. I'll keep trying but not sure now if I will ever get on here or not. Wayne

www.silverlodger.com/Great trailer and nice job on the website. You can link pictures from your website here, too. Hope you don't mind me sharing one. Quite a story about the wheel coming off!!!

I really like this trailer. I love the tear drop wheel wells. I happen to have a real honest to goodness original Main-Line Trailer CO. emblem sitting here on my desk. Just noticed you have one on the rear of the trailer.... I was going to offer you this one if you didn't have one.

hey, thanks for the comments.
The overall plans are to keep the outside looking about as old as it is, only polishing the aluminum as best as I can. The surface is pitted with tiny indents so it will only get so good. You can tell from the front and rear that it will come along pretty nicely though. It has an old, 1940's shape anyway. But it's kinda cool. On the inside I want to bring it up pretty upscale. I'm a furniture builder and I can do really nice work for just the cost of materials. I'm hoping to keep cost to maybe $11,000 total. I'm already in about $3,500. I may do the interior in pecan, I'm still thinking. My oldest boy is an Architect. He will help with material decisions too. He did a fine job on our house. I know I should be more modest but I have mad skills, it should come out really cool.
Right now I'm recovering from a rotator cuff reattachment surgery. I'll start drawings in the next couple weeks. It will be a few months before I can really get back to work. I can't raise my left arm yet. Oh, yes the car was my last project. It's a Locost 7 from the book 'How to build your own sports car" I need to get the link working back from the trailer site to the Locost site. Texaslocost.com It is a copy of a 62 Lotus 7 built from scratch, Real fun. it was a blast in Colorado. Not quite as fun here in the flat lands. Houston streets really suck too. So many holes and bad bumps.
A number of people have commented on those wheel wells. I would love a real Mainline badge. Mine is a vinyl copy I had made.

I'm sure you can clean it up or paint it or something. It's all there though. It's been an ornament on my desk for about 5 years now LOL... I knew it would find a home some day.
