Oh. that's you? I've just been watching the Shasta rebuild tapes. I had nothing to do today and I might have overdone it yesterday on my arm trying to get the computer set up down in the house. We have been living in the garage apartment while I did a full remodel and the computer is the last thing to come down. We are now living in the big house and using the apartment as a guest house again. My wife is thrilled. I had to promise not to touch the trailer until the house was done. Should I put up a few shots of the house? Off subject I know, but it's my web site. The next thing I will do is build a nice door on the trailer since it was missing when I got the thing. Wayne

Wayne There is a section at the bottom of the forum for talking about anything. That would be a good place to post it. Hope you like the Shasta series.

OK, so, Larry, did you get my PM, OR do I have to wait until later to send it? That wasn't quite clear in the post from admin. Also I love the series of videos, you do a great job with them even doing your own camera work, and that's hard. I saw the thing about your eye, don't know the time frame. Are you better of still layed up? I'm really hating this shoulder injury because all my projects are on hold until I can move my left arm above my head or out from my body. Like you, I'm a project guy I have no idea what to do without a project. So if you are not well yet get well soon and get back to work before you go crazy. Anyway, keep up the good work. For the next few months I'm going to be on here a lot as I have so much spare time now. So I hope you guys don't get tired of me. YOU can tell me to shut up if you need to. Or ask me questions about building. Wayne

Can't really do much of anything because of the weird vision with the oil in the eye. Just too dangerous because of the lack of depth perception up close. I tend to knock things over when I go to pick them up. Nov. 6th is the final surgery date. Then I should be good to go once I heal from that one.

Wayne, one more post to go and you will be able to PM.
We put the 10 post limit up after a TV producer sent Spam to quite a few of us. Trying to protect our members and the board. Sorry if it's been a pain. Vikx

So, that bad huh? I'll get that off in a few. I have a question? Why are trailer sides secured to the rails instead of onto the floor. ( you mention this in one of your utubes)I rebuilt mine back on the floor thinking that it would be so much stronger than a hand full of single sheer fasteners that might rust out and let go. Will that cause me problems? Other than replacing flooring pieces. Wayne

It's much easier, cheaper, and lighter to build the walls out of 3/4 inch framing and then slap them up to the sides with the interior paneling already in place and finished and just screw them to the sides than it is to build on top with 2 inch framing. Two... You get more room inside when the walls are mounted to the outside. But the main reason is production and costs.

OK, its about 5 months later now and my shoulder is just about healed from rotator cuff surgery. I can lift my arm up over my head now (as of a couple days ago) after 6 months of therapy, so it's time to get to work on the trailer. I brought it home today from the storage lot to start looking some stuff over. I guess first I need to make a new door. I have no old one, either, so this will be a scratch build. Then I need to start doing wiring for lights and plugs. All I have done, so far, are the road lights.I have no plumbing either for that matter, so I need to set up all systems and I'm pretty much clueless on all that stuff. In my planing I've been just glossing over this step but now it's here, before I can do the woodwork, which I'm actually good at.I'll have more questions about all this that I'll put under the proper headings for electrical and plumbing, I guess. Wayne, in trouble now, Evans
