I looked on their FAQ page and there was no mention of it. If you do contact them, please let me know what they say. I thought maybe mine was not level and was off balance but my level says it isn't.

The manufacturer will work with you, in fact may send a new motor... They are a great company. I haven't had a buzz at all in mine, going on 20 now.

SusieQ,
I contacted the Fantastic-Vent manufacturer (Atwood Mobile Products), and they are sending me a new motor for free. Will ship the old motor back once I get the new one installed; requires opening the lid, removing four screws, then disconnecting the electric. They said they have heard of this issue before. Might be the brushes wearing on one side, if the unit is not run in reverse occasionally. Anyway, a big thumbs up to their customer service!

I'm considering the one with the thermostat. How long will these things last before draining the battery?
I went to their site but they don't say what gauge wire to run to the fan. Thoughts?
Does anyone have the rain sensor model? Worth it or a waste of money?

I use the reversible 4000R. (# has changed to 1250 or some such...) It is simple with very little to go wrong. I don't like all the extras. Why ask for trouble.
My Fans are all wired with 14 wire. They only draw 3 amps on high, so that is probably overkill, but makes me happy. Connecting and tucking the wires out of the way can be dicey. I cut a slot for that at left toward the front.
They will bring the battery down. Less on low than high, but when boondocking, better to be sparing.
