I wouldn't build a trailer without a Fantastic Fan. (except one with no roof vent) The Fantastic Vent company has the best customer service in the business. If you break your Fan, they send you replacement parts for FREE. Can't beat that.

ok so how does everyone that bought and installed one like there Fan - tastic fan?? I got one with the grey lid. Mine is waiting for the new metal roof to be fastened.. My roof is on now, but I still haven't installed mine either. I'm probably going to get to it this weekend though, once I finished installing the electrical system. I'll post pics when I do!

I was thinking about you this morning when I was staring at my trailer. I have mine installed but have not tried it yet. I really want to try it out while the weather is hot. I'm hoping it pulls a nice breeze. I know it blows people away in the teardrops

SusieQ is it true that one of those fans sucked a lady right up against the roof of her tear drop and if the battery hadn't run down she would have starved to death?

It's still too hot here in Houston to just use the fan, I've got to have AC unless I want a puddle of sweat in my camper! Haha it will be great for spring and fall though! It really creates a nice breeze with one window open.

I installed the fantastic fan and keep it set to exhaust. It worked great for trapping the mosquito's making it past the screen door.

Anyone fabricate aluminum interior trim for the fantastic fan instead of using the plastic trim? We're planning to do this at some point...

Anyone fabricate aluminum interior trim for the fantastic fan instead of using the plastic trim? We're planning to do this at some point... I thought about using the trim from my original vent but went with the plastic. I think it actually looks nice but my fan is white on the inside so it matches. I've been using my fan for over two weeks now and it is FANTASTIC! I open the windows and get a nice breeze with it on "out" or exhaust. When it's really hot, I put my 10 inch fan in the kitchen window with the FF on sucking out and it makes a great big breeze. The thermostat and rain sensor is also FANTASTIC!

I agree, the fan fan moves some air. Glad we got one.
The original vent trim does not work. The trim needs to fit into a grove in the fan. So we need to make one if we want aluminum, yes? No commercial source?

Posting a related comment re: our Fantastic Fan. This is our first summer using our fan. We've found it quite nice at providing air movement. The last several outings we've noticed the fan motor has started to emit an annoying buzzing sound. It will generate the buzz on all speeds, in either direction. The motor hum itself acts as a white noise, but the buzzing sound is annoying. Is there a remedy for this such as WD40? Might contact the manufacturer to see what they suggest.
