I suppose it would easy enough to do…I essentially built mine from scratch…using some old fixtures. Curious what he started with for a frame.

If he's building a retro trailer for 11k with AC and modern amenities, thats's a good deal. You couldn't do it yourself for that kind of money. I know I spent 10k on mine (not including labor). Compare that to a T@b, at 13=15K…to me that is more desirable.

Really not bad at all. Tongue is awfully light weight... Interesting idea.

Too bad he's using thin scotty style walls. Double too bad it's particle board. If you order one pay for the stick wall upgrade like the old Shastas were.
Looks like he is buying floorless utility trailers to start. With the stake holes in the frame and the hinges on back of the frame for a fold down tailgate. I guess he cuts those off?
Interesting. I wonder what the actual profit margin is? I wonder if he had to go through licensing to be able to build new RV's like other RV manufacturers have to go through?
Wonder where he is sourcing his J rail?
Still very interesting. I would love to buy this guy lunch and pick his brain for about an hour.

I just hope that no one ever decides they should stick Shasta emblems on one and try passing it off as a genuine model from the day. I think it could be easy to do in the present craze for "vintage" trailers. It is obvious that there are many who are in a frenzied search, and just may believe they are getting something they aren't....not that that is not already happening.

Ten, I was thinking the same thing. When look-alike repros come along, they kind of diminish the uniqueness of the real thing. I glanced at this pic on TCT and without reading anything, didn't realize it was a repro. It was the paint job that caught my eye.
But my son did say that I could have just built a new one for all the work I've put into mine. I think it would have been easier.

He may be using a trailer chassis rated for 3500 pound but I don't see any brakes and no State to my knowledge will allow a 3500 pound trailer with no brakes. He is building a pretty unit but it looks very flimsy to me. I would have to do a lot of inspecting before I put a dime in one.

How about the wood wheel wells. and it doesn't look like the sill board is supported in the bottom couple of inches, wonder what type of impact it would take to snap it in half. This looks like a trailer designed for rain country it might rot away before you got tired of it. Then that particle board would be fun to repair.

Would be nice to know where the siding is coming from.... It has the right brake pattern....I have read an awful lot about replacing original skin on the 60's models with these brakes recently....

It looks like his siding is all one piece, no seams except at the corners. His trailers look good except for a few things.
