Hello I bought a 1966 Shasta Compact and I will be mostly traveling over the rocky mountains for camping with 110km/hr speed limits and thus would like to possibly flip axle and increase the wheel and tire size to 15inch. I am wondering if anyone has done this and the process. I was hoping to purchase a 5 bolt stub axle from princess auto if that is compactible with the bearings or replace the entire axle

Welcome!
i’m no expert, but flipping the axle on a vintage campers changes the center of gravity. I wouldn’t recommend doing it. others may disagree.

If the axle is mounted above the springs, it can be moved below the springs without changing the camber... There are also blocks made to lift modern trailers; talk to a frame and axle shop.
