Has anyone bought one of these types of refrigerators? Wondering how you like them if so. Definitely cheaper than other brands...but just wondering about reviews. Thanks 61My9ZI8Q7L._SL1001_ by kathy, on Flickr

We bought one about 2 1/2 years ago and installed it in our '64 Shasta Airflyte. We operate it on 120 VAC and on propane (NOT AT THE SAME TIME... of course!) We installed a small air conditioner in the top cabinet above it and with the AC on, we noticed that we were not getting cool air out of the AC unit and the refrigerator quit cooling as well. Not sure at first what it was (I can hear the tongues clucking..!) Thought it might have to do with the heat from the AC unit and after checking out several places on the web, I thought that we had burnt out the electric coil. Not so. Dummy me, we simply added a heat source which added a heat load to the refrigerator as it heated up the cabinet adding enough heat that the refrigerator simply wouldn't work correctly nor the AC. I pulled the AC unit out and added a heavy duty 12 volt blower with a 12 V to 120VAC inverter to run it. Problem solved(so far). I may add an additional muffin fan behind the fridge blowing out the vent through the side to make sure that no hot air is trapped. We paid $400 delivered for a 2.1 Cubic Foot 3 way refrigerator and it works fine. No issues at all. So far, it has been a good inexpensive 3 way refrigerator.

I've been trying to find where SMAD and SMETA fridges are made. Google search shows only ads, not information. Anyone know? Want to avoid cheaply made product. Looking at Dometic and Norcold. Recommendations?

Recommendations? Depending on where you are in Wisconsin, there are Norcold for sure and I believe Dometic factories in Ohio and IN. I watch craigslist near Ft. Wayne, IN & Dayton area, OH because they sell the scratch and dent units to their employees for a song. Those employees then re-sell them on craigslist. The only issue is they do not have the door panels, but most of us want to customize ours anyway.
