I was checking our long range weather forecast and it appears that it will be warm here sometime in April. I have got to make room to get my Shasta in the shop if it will be usable by spring. Here Bill. I have an extra round tuit for ya....

Yup, reskinned, and not in a single-break Shasta pattern. But you use what you can get, I guess. Is the little window you're talking about the one above the side window? If so, I think we've seen a few64 models with those up by the bunks. Also, it's obviously been painted, but does anyone out there know if this is the original color the dark coral would polish out to? We would have liked to keep Hamlet's, but he was just too beat up to save, and we never tried polishing what we had.

Mine is pinky, maybe a salmon pink color faded. There are some spots underneath stuff that are less faded and they aren't much darker or brighter. I don't think there is any way to know what the true color was. I'm old enough to remember the pink and turquoise trailers and we had a pink one when I was a kid. Of course, memory plays tricks on you but in my mind it was a dusty rose color. One thing that does seem to be true to the original is the tongue being painted the same as the bottom. There is a magazine ad floating around the internet that shows a pic and the tongue is painted, too.
One more thought, the tubing running outside the trailer for my LP was tucked up in the framing of the tongue. It has a rusty burgundy color on top of it, but not underneath, almost looks like primer (might be) which made me wonder if the real color wasn't pink at all but maybe a dark burgundy.

OH NO, it can't be... I spy a flying pig in this pic VTS posted on their facebook page. But at least she doesn't have my name, hers is Prissy Sissy, '63 Compact according to post. From the looks of the little window, it must have been reconfigured inside and the skins do no look original to me, either. Is this a Compact? Thinking this one must be reconfigured on the inside. I do like her canopy. Maybe she'll find us and share more about it. ![]() No curly-tail wings, either.
