Aloha All! While attempting to identify exactly what Travelmaster trailer I am being given I noticed the metal disk located outside and left of the door shown below. Researching Certified by Craftsmen's Guild - Gold Seal Standards took me to the Sarasota Herald Tribune - dated Thursday, January 19, 1961 (pages 19-21). Though not talking about travel trailers the articles were still somewhat entertaining to read considering what mobile trailers are today. You'll find the Gold Seal Standards discussed in the story entitled Mobile Homes - Today's Name For Residence on Wheels. As I continue to look for information regarding the Travel Trailer Gold Seal, should you happen to have any to share, please jump in. Adding tidbits to increase my learning curve! Wow, I still believe in all of them, just ask my grandchildren and they are all almost out of their teens. Lets see, at that time I was chasing natives through the jungle in South America doing my stint in the military. Not military action just a soldier far from home trying to fit in!!!! (Panama Canal Zone).
