There's a tutorial here somewhere, but the quick version is: 1. Get a photobucket, flickr, etc. photo-hosting account. 2. Upload yer pics to that account. I use photobucket for more than just this forum, so I created a Shasta folder to put them in. Arrange yer pics on photobucket in the order you want them to stay in, if you care about that, BEFORE you post yer thread here. Once you post here, if you later rearrange yer pics in photobucket, they will all disappear here. 3. Start a post here, and describe the first pic you want to post ("here's the before pic of my rotten roof vent"). 4. Hit "enter" to put the cursor right below the description. 5. Open the pic of yer rotten roof vent on photobucket. 6. Look for the "IMG" link on the page for that pic, and click on the box to copy it. In photobucket, the link is on the right side of the page, and when clicked upon it will turn yellow and briefly say "copied". I can't give you any help with flickr or any other photo site, but I suspect they are similar. 7. Come back to your post here, right click on the cursor and choose "paste". Or hit ctrl and v at the same time. The picture will paste wherever your cursor is. 8. For some reason, whenever I do this, it pastes two similar links together. So I delete everything outside the two bookends that say "square bracket IMG square bracket" (It wouldn't let me type the real [] with IMG between them here for some reason). It may not paste double links for you, but it does it on two different computers here. 9. Rinse and repeat for all the other pics you want to post. You can apparently put as many in one post as you want. 10. Don't forget, if you later rearrange your pics in photobucket, it will make all of the IMG links invalid and all the people here will see is something like "Sorry, but the owner has moved or deleted this photo". Good luck!

I address the photobucket move issue (which is really a pain) by having a folder that is just for forum pics) and then I can still move around/organize.

I address the photobucket move issue (which is really a pain) by having a folder that is just for forum pics) and then I can still move around/organize. I serve my own photos but it's no different than using a free server like Photobucket and I do the same thing. If you look at the source code of my photos you will see they are all in a folder called "forum"... That way no matter what I do with my server the photos stay up. Unless my server goes down of course and that happens very rarely.
