OK I've been bitten before when I thought a trailer was being advertised as a Shasta and I thought it was a lie. But for the life of me I can't find a 61 Shasta on the internet that looks like this one. The shape is just all wrong for a Compact. It's not big enough to be anything else. Those wings do not look like OEM to me. ROSS? Is it or isn't it? reno.craigslist.org/rvs/d/vintage-1961-shasta-canned-ham/6366049810.html

That is not like any 61 Shasta I've ever seen. No mention of a title. I'm not thrilled with the repair work. What's up with the rear lights? Originally inset? Is that the vulture from Bugs Bunny cartoons? I like the vulture.

The only thing that is "Shasta" about this one is the emblem. Perhaps the most authentic part of this one was this (although these are tough to authenticate): One of mobiltec 's most consistent pieces of advice over time is to put wings on everything. Seems someone was reading his posts. Those wings are completely wrong (scale) for the shape of the trailer, which looks like a cross between a ham and a toaster. The vulture has better wings. The side window is wrong, as is the door with the windows, the red side marker, and the siding. Cupboard placements are wrong for the interior layout too. It looks to me like someone's idea of making it more marketable, by attaching a recognizable name to something that most people would never recognize for its original manufacturer. Shasta's Compacts are all here: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/21/shasta-compact?page=1&scrollTo=44My vote for what it's worth,.. No Shasta

I was thinking Santa Fe but most have an embossed Santa Fe across the lower front metal...

I'm thinking '61 Siesta. Seen some builds and ads on the web, so the shape looked familiar.
