We used to use a 5 gallon stainless steel milk jug, painted black, on the roof of our boat when we lived in Southwest Florida. Had a "shower saver" fixture, filled the jug up in the morning, had a gravity fed shower in the evening. No batteries needed. Navy style. Wet down, shut off, soap up, rinse off. Did have to add cold water sometimes. Nobody ever complained that we smelled bad.

I've never had a gas range in a camper with enough heat to warm a few gallons of water.
With that said, it is an I interesting idea.

I have one of those that I have used while van camping in my '88 e250. Had a few gallon jugs of water that had set inside the van all day. Didn't make for a steaming shower, but definitely wasn't uncomfortably cold.
