So i'm finally at the point to where I can insulate my Shasta, but I need wiring and anything electrical ran prior correct? So what all would I need to get this done? What type of wiring? Do I need an inverter? Sorry i'm clueless to electrical!!
Also, does anyone have a list of the exterior lights so I can order them from Vintage Trailer Supply (or if you have a recommended site to buy). I guess here I'm asking for a parts list.
I dont know much about electrical except that my husband just ran ours(still need to test it). For the exterior running lights we used 14g wire, some like 12g and I think 16g is standard??? dont quote me on that, maybe some one more experienced will chime in.
I dont know anything about inverters, we dont have a battery or 12 volt system, so I dont need one. But there are numerous threads on here about them and electrical. so just do a search or look in the electrical section.
You only "need" an inverter if you want to run 120v appliances off batteries. And it takes 10 amps of DC 12v off the battery to make 1 amp of AC 120v, so it takes a lot of battery capacity to run anything substantial.
