Y'all have a great site here, with one exception. The method of posting pictures. I have been successful posting a couple of times but it turns into a new learning process every time I attempt to post. I come and look but quit participating because of it. I see new folks come, struggle with the procedure and then go away, a lot. I enjoy several other vintage car forums and can directly post a picture from my files at all of them. Figure out how to do that and watch your membership grow. Will.

It took Me several tries before I got the hang of posting pics. too. I`m sorta stubborn that way though, I`ll keep trying until I get it right. LOL I believe the reason for not posting directly to this site is the room it takes for pics. and that might turn into an expense that the admin doesn't want to have to handle. I know I wouldn't.

Sorry for your troubles Will,
We do not allow uploading from your computer because it costs a lot of money. The last estimate was $70 per month, going up from there.
We lost an entire forum 4 years ago due this issue; all of our photos were deleted and our threads were no longer helping anyone. A person can join a photo site and post the URL here instead. Flickr is popular with our members. It is a learning curve but do-able.

Hope viks or someone sees this. I'm trying to post pictures of my just painted trailer and still no success. I have some in a Flicker acct. From there I go to photostream and choose one, then go through the most recent list of "how to" here from viks. I click on photo, click bottom right arrow, underline embed but there is no option on the "strip" for copy. Just a bunch of letters there. I tried just getting to that point and doing control c but no luck. When I joined I was able to get a couple pics up (never more than one at once) but no go now. At a loss here. And I don't know how you could make your instructions any better. It looks so simple.

The last step is the important one:
Point to (put the curser on) and RIGHT CLICK on the highlighted letters. A box will pop up with "copy" in in. Choose copy. When posting, Right Click again and choose "paste". The letters will embed in the post. When you post the reply, the picture will show up.

I don't know if it would be any help to anyone, but, I use the Firefox browser. I'm not sure about any of the other host sites, but in photorobber, you can bring up the full size image as it's posted, right-click on it, and select " copy image location", then go to the forum post. Select the image insert icon to bring up the pop-up control box, then right-click the text box and paste. That will insert the URL info without using the host site's features, it's all done with the browser.
I know there are some hosting sites that copy-protect the content, and this is not possible, but it's been awhile since I have tried and Don't remember specifically which.
