I have a 1965 or 1966 Shasta Airflyte. Trying to remove the propane oven without destroying the whole cabinet. Hopefully this is an easy one for someone here........how is it attached? Anyone know before I go do the low crawl? Thanks much!

Don't quote me as 100% sure, but I believe there are screws that go down through the floor of the oven into the "floor" of the cabinet. Once they are loose there should be enough free play to pull it forward to disconnect the propane line. (Been a while since I took mine loose.)

Mine is actually a couple of feet up off the ground over the wheel well, and there doesn't appear to be any wood support holding it underneath. It t appears to be a metal plate of some kind (perhaps) that the oven is sitting on. Maybe the bolts I see underneath up into the oven are the key. Thanks for help.........I'm goin' in.

Lift the stove top, there should be 4 screws going into the adjacent counter top. There may be screws behind the oven door as well. Most of the time, if you get the 4 top screws out and the gas line off, the stove lifts right out. If it doesn't move easily, there is probably another screw somewhere...

Mine (4-burner Magic chef) also has two screws under each side of the cook top, and two of the four "feet" have screws too.
