I need a chimney!. Any pics of a chimney run up to the roof? I read up on the last few years of fridge talk, printed the thetford install guide, found and printed an instamatic service manual.... but need actual pics of what the chase looks like....
One dimensional drafters sketches showing the roof 4 inches above the fridge, leave a lot to the imagination.
Fridge is below the stove. , I have a range vent above the stove. This trailer must have been delivered to the dealer with an ice box and someone wanted a fridge. This was a very clean job, most likely done at an RV dealer.... but It's not right and I want to make right.
Heres an iside pic before I tore it down to the frame.

The stove has the chrome trim ring with a rear vent. this is where the carbon monoxide and heat was venting

I have since abandoned the "awfolcado" stove and went with a nice brown one.
I had the fridge running on 115VAC and hooked up a propane tank to it today to make sure it was ready to go when I need it.
This is NOT what I saw

I got nothing when using "click start" button. I thought id bypass it and put a match p to the pilot, burner. I got a flame, but it was at the ferrel fitting! not good!. I unscrewed the brass block with the tiny burner on it and put it on the bench,

If you look close you can see the twin orifaces for the gas . This is after i blew the crud out of them. What you also may notice is a lot of carbon and soot around the threads from years of gas leaking around the feral fitting and igniting. Wow! Never assume because something works, it O.K.
One the outside, the fridge was basically 100% open as there were two large screened openings supplying ventilation. But no chimney and no separation between fresh air intake and exhaust.
As an added bonus, I'm giving out these pics of how to creatively vent a gas fridge without taking the skin off. Hope you get a good chuckle! It from my '62 Friendship Vacationaire 12 ft
Plenty of fresh air going into this unit

lets "do it right" and add a chimney

we can run some pipe up, cap it and drill holes exactly size of wasps so they can make a warm and cozy nest

This is amazing as the "chimneys" were direct connected to the pilot flame and the burner pot.

Anyway, any help in getting a proper roof vent run for the 68 Forester would be of greatly appreciated.
