I think for the cost, it's a good value to dress up a dorm fridge, or even pick up an older one cheap one. Some people have said that they can break due to the vibration of travel as they are not made for that, but I have yet to hear anyone tell me it's happened. How will you keep it cold when on the road? Some people keep a bag of ice in, others only load it once they arrive and plug in..

I agree, a dorm fridge works. It may not look as good as the original ice box but it's handy when we're on the grid. You can buy a small, highly rated one for as little as $120. So if it lasts two or three years, great. Let's face it, most camper units see about two weeks use a year. Not much. We unpack everything into a cooler when moving. Otherwise things really bounce around. Have you ever seen fruit left in the fridge after a 200 mile trip? Ugly!

So I like the Daewoo, but is it only runs on 30 am shore power? Would solar be enough. A newbie question. I am looking to put in a fridge but the gas/ac ones are big $ any help much appreciated.
