All campground pedestals I've ever seen have a 50amp 240v, a 30amp 120v, and a 20amp standard outlet, which will be fine for a 15amp plug; all in the same box.

Ah, that makes sense! So when they say 50 Amp, they are referring to the highest rated available? In that case, I should be okay with my 20A cord and my 30/15 adapter pretty much anywhere.

When a campground advertises 50 amp hookups, they generally offer 30 amp and 15 amp as well. I would call and ask but I'm guessing your trailer will be good to go...
You can use the adapter and it won't give you "more" amps than you want. The differences between the 15 amp receptacle and the 30 is the plug blade configuration and the amount of amps with total draw. In other words, a 15 amp trailer should only be connected to the 15 amp receptacle whenever possible.
Why?
When plugged into the 15 amp receptacle, the campground breaker should trip if the circuit is overloaded. If plugged into the 30 amp receptacle with an adapter, the only protection you have is in the trailer. (30 amp campground breaker won't trip if a 15 amp circuit is overloaded)
I hope this makes sense. It's hard to describe. I always tell folks to use ONE thing at a time when plugged into the trailer outlets with a vintage trailer. The lights draw very little, but appliances can easily overload the system.

Go down a few threads to the MUST SEE VIDEO. That's the pedestal the campsites should have. Your 30 amp TT adapter should be fine.
