Hey all, My name is Brian, we just picked up this 1953 Fleetwood a week ago. We had been looking for a vintage trailer for a while and recently found this one and decided to pull the trigger. It had been restored by the previous-previous owners. It's got a working Marvel 110v fridge/ ice box and a 3 burner stove/oven, all of which work. It needs a little work, but nothing major (I hope!). It's got a leak or two that I need to address, but I'll post a separate thread about that. I also probably want to add a battery and inverter, at least for the interior lights. My wife is going to make all new curtains and pillows for it to make it look the way we want. She’s a beauty!!!!!! Love the spice rack

Late to the party but that is one nice camper, and I like you VW, I had a 66 for many years and it was my daily driver. Danny

Hi there, My name is Dale, my wife and I have a 1953 Fleetwood just like this one. Ours has been torn apart and made into a University of Utah tailgate party wagon. The Hillrod Family Robinson did unspeakable things to it and we are in the process of rebuilding it to what it once was with modern touches, like a microwave, a 120volt refrigerator freezer and air conditioning for and others as we progress. I LOVE the pictures of the interior of yours, I am guessing that's what ours looked like up to 2007 when the Hillrods got a hold of it...
We are removing the walls this week and are putting in a new floor and rebuilding the walls. It's a lot of fun, but I am guessing using it will be WAY more fun when it's completed. I hope to have it near completion by March 2020. I would love to be able to see yours one day. I'm here in Lake Havasu, might just have it done enough to make it to the Vintage camper campout in February, here in Havasu.
I will be posting pictures as soon as I can figure out how to do that. I will need to get one of my grandkids to show me how! Great camper, I will be stalking you for a while from now on. I can bring people to this site to show them what an original looks like!
