I Had been to the trailer shop a while back. He could not get in the style of electro magnets that My brakes needed. He ordered in brake drums with the hubs, new backing plates complete with shoes and magnets and also lug nuts as my old hubs had lug bolts. Today I went and picked up the equipment, took it home. Bolted a backing plate to the spindle, slid a bearing on the spindle, shoved the drum/hub assembly over the spindle and, It all fits perfectly. Even with the backing plates being off set so much farther than the originals. the hub/drum assemblies are cut to make it all work as it should. I`m posting this so if anyone has a problem getting components for their out dated equipment, there is hope that the entire axle does not have to be changed to get brakes.
