I saw this online and thought it was interesting. I have seen people do a mini split before, but this one is a little different. I like how it seems more portable. Not sure if it would hang on a vintage camper window good or not. Looks like it might not be available for purchase in the US. www.coolmycamper.com/

I saw this a while ago and thought it was really cool, but like you said it isn't available in the US and they aren't interested in trying to get it here. It would require 220v or 240v and won't run on 110 so I don't see it as an option any time soon.

They "believe there are similar units in the U.S.", are there?

Not only is this a 220V unit but it is very small. The smallest AC unit I've seen for RV/travel trailer is a 7500BTU unit where as this unit put out 2560BTU. I think it meant for milder climates. Neat idea though.

Neat idea though. Just came across a similar unit sold by Walmart of all people. It's a RolliCool 10,000btu mini split. 110v. Not designed specifically for RVs but I'm sure someone can be creative to mount. Unit is $499.

Those Rollicools have absolutely abysmal reviews. A two-hose solution makes a bunch of sense for a trailer- these are pretty reasonably priced:
