My trailer exterior is stripped, and I am prepping for paint. Sandpaper is very difficult to get in the breaks. Is there a better way? Roger

I wet sanded with #220 grit, and it worked well. It's nice because there is no dust.

I think you can use 0000 steel wool or (gently) 000 for the cracks but you need to make sure that you clean the surface really, really well. It leaves those little metal splinter is behind. I agree with turbodaddy, wet sanding is a good way to get the sandpaper in the cracks.

I was hoping to use my oscillating sander(not wheel) to sand with 320, but it does not get in the the grooves. Hand sanding will take me all winter with my arthritic hands. Bah humbug.

Wet sanding not in my future. I will just bite the bullet and dry hand sand it. thank you for the responses. Roger

Do they allow you to flush the toilet and take daily showers? Honest question.

i would wet sand if i was you. a couple small buckets of water is all it takes; besides, you will still need to wash the whole outside of the camper with both methods.
if you really want to use the orbital, hit all the highs of the corrugations with the orbital then hit everything with the wet sand paper by hand.

Thank you Bev. I have only wet sanded with a hose outdoors. Your way I can do in my garage with little mess, and then wash the whole trailer outside before prime and paint. What do you use 220 or 320 wet sand paper.?
