I've been interested in small campers for a good bit, and finally found a fairly clean one I believe. I still don't have my mitts on it as of yet, but will next week. I bought it in Missouri....(a good friend knew of it, and luckily I had people locally eyeball it).....and now must get it back to Tennessee. It seems dry, and clean on the inside, but we'll see soon. Looking forward to learning more here........wish me luck. picasaweb.google.com/117274931754569301441/Shastas

Okay....kind of a weak introduction I suppose. I am a touring audio engineer........from near Nashville, TN. People think I'm nuts when they hear that I bought a tiny camper trailer. I've spent the last 30 years or so on a tour bus, and have been a lot of places.......but I'm no spring chicken any more, and I am thinking that traveling slowly (for a change) and actually seeing some sights will be nice.....
I have much to learn, I imagine, as it concerns my new little investment......and am looking forward to jumping in as soon as I can get this thing home. Glad I happened onto this forum........

Hey thanks......I tried to add a couple of photos with the forum widget, but it doesn't seem to want to work for me. I added a link to Picasa instead.........hope it works for everyone.

Hi Moses,
What a coincidence... I am just starting a 59 Shasta for the stage manager for Bruce Springsteen and he just got back from a European tour. Small world to have two "roadies" in here starting vintage trailers at the same time....
This forum is a world of knowlege and everyone is eager to help out. We are here to help so don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you like. There is no such thing as a dumb question. Maybe some dumb answers once in a while. LOL...
Welcome and enjoy.

Hey thanks everyone. I am really looking forward to it..........and in fact, driving to Missouri tomorrow to finally grab the thing. I think I might have accidentally found a really clean one........we'll see. I'll keep ya posted, and thanks for that offer Larry.........I will no doubt be needing some direction.

Welcome Moses! A great start you have there, she even has her wings which is half the battle. This is very addicting stuff. Have fun! Also you are doing the job I always wanted to do. A good engineer can make or break a band!

Yep, you got some ceiling panels to replace. But hey it's not as hard and it doesn't take as long as one might think. The body is in really good shape and you have the original wings. Both a huge plus. Take your time and start on the top. Then go for the front. Then if needed go for the rear. If you need floor replacement anywhere you can do that while the front is open. same in the rear. Just like I did on the 56. One of these days I want to do a "Toaster" trailer. Going to start keeping my eyes open for one.
