Big South Fork National Park TN

We have been camping BIG SOUTH FORK NATIONAL PARK TN at Brandy Creek camp ground Tuesday to Friday for 4 weeks. We arrived about 1 pm and were set up in 10 minutes then went searching for firewood. We cooked Hebrew hot dogs over the fire and Alice cooked fried potatoes on the griddle. We decided to have a fire now that the weather has cooled down. It was 87 each day, 75 at sun down and 62 during the night. Next morning we were off to the train ride through the mountains, leaves are starting to change colors and the 1 hour ride to the coal mine camp through the mountains, through tunnel, bridge, tresses, rocks, streams, trees, was fun. Train stopped we all got off and ate our sack lunch then explored the old mine and old ghost town for 2 hours. It is a short walk up to the bridge, we walked to the other side were there are several hiking trails. We picked up a bag of coal to burn in the camp fire. After the 1 hr train ride back to the station we had lunch at the train station restaurant it was much better than a fast food place. Back at the camp site we were not hungry after the big 3:30 pm meal at the train station so we collected more wood & built a big fire about 7 pm. When the fire want out we watched the stars for a while before bed. Next morning we drove to East Rim Overlook 4 miles from the camp ground. No rain in almost 2 months river is almost dry, the trees are starting to show their fall colors. Trees will be in full color by Halloween weather will be nice 75 during the day and 50s at night.  One week we explored burnt mill bridge, another week we checked out Twin Arch.  Each week is something different.  Camper ground area A is tents, B is tents and small trailer, C is trailers smaller than 20 feet these camp sites have water and electric, D is campers up to 35 feet they have water and electric, no sewer anywhere in the park.
