Just finished a 2 week off gird trip to Trails End campground at the end of the Gunflint Trail in Northern MN. The campground is beautiful, huge stands of white pines, mostly untouched by the fire that burned through here @ 15 years ago. Some of the trailer/camper sites are on the small side, but campsites 8/9/10 1 and 2 and 24 are nicely sized and have amazing views. We were in 24, high up on a cliff, overlooking Gull lake. Just beautiful and so remote!

Thats gorgeous.. I live in Manitoba, so that is a park I will likely visit at some point! You should go! It is just beautiful, and if you are a canoeist or kayaker, it's amazing. You can self issue permits to go into the BWCA from the main boat launch, head on up to Saganaga Lake for a truly unique experience. I would also highly recommend the Grand Marais campground. It's right in the little town of Grand Marais, which you have to drive through to get to the Gunflint Trail. GM has amazing restaurants, a brewery, galleries and many many fun day trips. It's for sure worth the trip in itself. Feel free to ping me if you are headed in that direction ever. I grew up there and can give you some good insider tips! Happy Camping! SaveSave
