Luckily here I just got a tag for my trailer with a bill of sale and $12.00. In Alabama travel trailers older than 20 years are not titled. If you have a copy of an old registration they are not inspected either.

I bought a camper from AL and brought it back to NC. It had no title, just a notarized bill of sale, and NC honored AL rules on vintage campers and gave me a title. It pays to buy in certain states.

Florida honored our Alabama registration for our camper. Thankfully for us though, ours came with a title from Florida issued in 1997 that the guy we bought from fortunately kept. He didn't have to technically.. So with that we were able to get a totally legit, Florida title and registration. Glad how it worked for us. That was crazy though. Had no clue Alabama did this, until we went thru the process. Kind of scary I think. The Shasta was happy to be back in its home state. Hehehe

In NC they would insist on the Chariot driven by Nero being titled. And inspected. With all owners since 37AD signing off on the sale...notarized.
