We have an Atwood 6 gallon - electric/propane combo tank...and we are not getting any hot water.
I changed the heating element and nothing. I changed the circuit board...and nothing.
Any ideas would be appreciated - Thanks!

Well... I have to ask some questions.
Do you have a bypass on the back of the heater? That bypasses the tank to make winterizing easier. You will see either one or 3 valves on the tank lines and their should be a short line going between the cold in and the hot out. (3 valves either shut the cold to the tank and open the short bypass line, or a 3 way valve does the same thing) Very short explanation but you will see something extra at the back of the tank.
The electric side should be fairly simple, so that would be the first to test. Things to do:
1. Test that the element is getting 110 power. You should be able to test at the element connections. 2. If it is powered, pull the pressure relief valve after an hour to see if the water is warm/hot. 3. If the water is hot, open a tap to see if you've got hot water there.
If there is no bypass on the tank, there may be a kink or blockage in a line(s). Water heaters are infamous for splitting the tank if frozen. A PO may have plugged a line?
Gas is a little more complicated. Since it has a circuit board, your 12 volt system must be intact for the water heater to fire. There are more components to go bad, including the ignitor, sensors, etc. There is also at least one sensor on the electric side, sensing tank heat. I hope this helps you, it's been a few years since I've worked on a water heater.
Please let us know how things work out. Oh, and welcome!
