to VTT. Our Member ROSS is the resident Shasta VIN# expert. He should be able to help answer your question. As for the rest of us, we are photo junkies. We mainline camper pics and can usually suggest what make and model Shasta a new Member might have from a couple nice exterior and interior photos. So please feed our habits and post some photos.

cdarke Based on your Shasta's vin#, it was produced in Goshen, Indiana in 1973. As far as knowing the Model that you have? ? The database doesn't tell me that. All I can say is, there were Loflyte's, 16SC's, Compacts and 1400's being produced in the early 1970's at the Indiana plant. In 1973, the 1400 was the primary Model being produced. These are the approximate lengths (rounded up or down)of the Shasta's, from bumper to tongue. These might help you identify what Model you have. Loflyte: 15 1/2' 16SC: 16' Compact: 12 1/2' 1400: 14' Hope this helps, Ross

Ross, My mom was heartbroken today when she went to pick up what was supposed to be her new project. It is a 1966 Yellowstone Cavalier (13' tongue to bumper, 10' body, and 6'6" width) we measured it. When we got there to pick it up the lady gave us the title and it said it was a 1966 Yellowstone 17' 7'7" on the model it had the VIN of 31012. I told her she should not purchase it because if she did and this was the title, it didn't match and when she insured it she had no proof it was even hers or if it was stolen the same thing, can't prove it's yours because the size and model description are wrong. Any help on the VIN # 31012 ??

@littleredwagon
Very smart call on NOT making the purchase. If the vin# on the title CAN'T be verified on the trailer, walk away from the purchase.
As for the Yellowstone vin#, I don't know anything about them. I only work with Shasta vin#'s.
However, there are a few sites, Facebook, Yahoo Groups, etc that are all geared towards the Yellowstone Coach Company. I would join one of those sites and and see if anyone there can help you with the vin#.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It's ok. She found another cute little camper a few days later that was much nicer.
