You may need to research this a bit as most of the trailers on here are older than the 1980's. Maybe try googling 1983 Shasta and looking at image files.

Welcome!
I own 1959, 1962 and 1964 campers so I can't offer you any intelligent advice on an 83 but somebody else I'm sure will chime in.

If the floors are bad please check out where they connect to the walls. The rot usually makes it's way down hill unless your trailer was caught in a flooded camp ground. In any case, try peeling away the skin at the bottom and see what the wall framing looks like. Your interior picture doesn't show obvious rot around the windows so I would be suspect of the wall to floor connections. That's a pretty important of the whole box's stability. I've been looking at a Go Tag Along that was under water for the bottom few inches and had good walls but the floor is toast, as was the bottom few inches of all the cabinetry. Bet we can find floor plans of your model year in brochures... s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/6f/92/d9/6f92d9c5b20211a323c4d4ad3ee7c5d5.jpg

Windows are good. No roof issues. Just the floor. Already Googled and that's what lead me here. Someone on this forum has the same one they paid 2000 for and redid their seats and curtains. Nothing else I could find. Any tips? Kirkadie, those pics have a different layout than mine.

Do a word sensitive search on the forum if you heard there is a post about one...

I already looked at that. I didn't see any pics of the bathroom or with the benches open. I should be able to figure it out tho. All the pics are here. I have the cabinet for the bathroom sink but toilet and sink is missing. Not sure where to look for replacements.

Send the Member a private message and ask if s/he would send you the photo(s) or information about the things you need. You might get lucky if the Member is active, and receive some stuff you can use.

I have been looking through my collections and have not found yet a brochure or other help for this vintage Shasta. My travels have led me to ads for these models for sale, and I am sure I kept photos, but they have all been lost on a wrecked hard drive. I'd love to see photos of what you are working with. I have not had the opportunity to research the post-Coachmen era of the Shasta trailers much. I have always liked the layout of the Friendship models though. You may find just as much help from "ghost" outlines on your walls and floor (or what remains of it that is) as you will get from literature, etc. And plumbing is fairly basic in most campers. If you are toilet-less, it will be best to research what is available today, and look for what will suit your needs rather than trying to come up with exact duplicates of the originals. You will also of course have to do some detective work regarding the condition of your holding tanks and plumbing leading in.
Looking forward to seeing more of what you have ...as well as "don't have"...I love piecing these older models together. And, I'll contiinue looking for references to be of some help for you.

Yeah, I'm still learning. Placement won't be a big issue really. Find what I need is the job. Been working on the new floor sine I got it. I,let some pics soon. Learned that the Atwood water heater is missing. Now I know what that hole in the wall is for. Wall are solid. Had to jack the front of the body up from the frame to bolt in new bases for the new floor. Gonna be pretty solid now. How can you tell if the dometic gas/electric refrigerator works? I plugged the trailer in to 110 and all my lighting is good. Couldn't hear the refrigerator running even after I set the controls as the instructions show.

The older refrigerators (and new ones too for all I know) do not have a compressor like a household refrigerator. They run on a heat element (on 110) or small burner flame (on propane) that heats and circulates the coolant in the coils. Pretty silent actually. Leave it plugged in for 24 hours or so and leave a thermometer inside.
Atwood is still manufacturing the water heaters, made to the same size specs as the originals, and they will fit right in the old hole. The only puzzle will be re-plumbing.
Pretty amazing what a difference a good bath will make!

The fridge in our 76 Apache is a sealed ammonia based system I am told. Silent. 3way 12volt/gas/110. Have yet to get it to work correct. I have been told that pulling the fridge and leaving it for 24 hours on each side and top or something. I haven't attempted it yet.
Just been using the cooler for now. Small little 2 cube fridge anyway. Coming from a 4 cube in our 70 Shasta (that we routinely filled) means we will need a cooler every trip anyway.
