skipnwendy,
When I first saw your beautiful trailer, I thought it was a 'new' trailer! It has such a timeless look to it. I have since read about all the hard work you guys performed for it to be able to look the way it does! I hadn't realized it was so hail damaged. The dual axle and wheel well opening with that plastic surround helps to make it look so good! Just had to comment.

Thank you Clyde, We have worked hard on it and I have more work to do and the times we are able to take it out it gave us some of the best times we have ever had out camping

Thanks! I love to get up there as often as possible but the ole job stops me from getting away much but I guess that's what makes it so special when I DO GET THE CHANCE I love it.

Going to have to take down some inside paneling in the front and replace it and whatever studs are bad behind it over the next month, Will post pics of what I find in there.

I'll look forward to seeing them. You take nice clean clear pictures so keep them coming! The more knowledge we all share the better!

Started taking off the old paneling to do stud repairs and actually it wasn't as bad as I expected, I have rot on the main stud under the front windows and some up at the top small bunk windows. Since I am in here doing this I may remodel a bit and take the bunk out since we never use it and do some shelves on the right wall to put a small flatscreen and DVD player there to watch in bed. i10.photobucket.com/albums/a116/SkipsPics/Camper%20Pics/camperstuds3_zpsf9e6ebe1.jpg

So far I am able to do this without removing the skin but there are a ton of staples I have to cut off that the skin got staples to the studs, Would be so much better to have the skin off but weather wont allow it and I have a reunion of 27 years coming so I have to ....get er dun Today (after a 1.5 hour talk with Randy I haven't seen in 27 years) I went and cut out all the rotten studs, Burned them in the burn barrel got rid of the kiddie bunk and left all the good studs, I cut all new wood going a section at a time piece by piece screw by screw and liquid nails wood glue started the restoration of the front of the camper, I cut the roof beams to have a nice bow so rain would not puddle as it did in the past and have all the upper seam and windows done on the door entry side and a lot done on the other side just in one day now... I am beat and ready for a beer and dinner, Go back at it tomorrow with the goal of being ready for paneling. here are some pics... i10.photobucket.com/albums/a116/SkipsPics/Camper%20Pics/camperstuds5_zpse4616726.jpgi10.photobucket.com/albums/a116/SkipsPics/Camper%20Pics/camperstuds6_zps8dfc1f94.jpg
