I don't know if I'm using the wrong terms or what but I can't seem to find a source for a new screen door. Everyone wants to sell me a replacement slide, or an entry door with a screened opening, but I'm looking for an old fashioned "full size" screen door so I can leave the entry door open. Thanks for any suggestions. We have a 1975 Skyline if that helps.

Most people here build their own with wood. They are easy to build and look really nice.
What size are you looking for? Lowe's carries full size screen doors for houses. I doubt yours is that wide but I'm not familiar with Skylines. You can also build your own custom aluminum frame screen windows/doors with the frames and screen sold at Lowe's. They are easy to make but as you probably know, trailer doors attach a little differently so I don't know if they would work.

If you post the opening dimensions, you may find one around. I believe most of the mid-70's trailers used aluminum framed doors for the screen door. They do turn up from time to time. I'll keep an eye open....

The size of the opening is 25-5/8 x 69-1/2. I was walking around the local Habitat store and found an old screen that is just slightly smaller than that for $5. I'm trying to talk my husband into making a screen door out of it by adding framing around the edges and some wood in the middle to help with opening and closing. Glad my idea isn't that far off the mark. Thanks for the ideas.

I have an aluminum trailer screen door. I'm not sure what size it is, but it's bigger than my trailers doors. The shipping would probably be more than it's worth but I will check the size tomorrow.
One of my trailers has an aluminum door and one has a missing aluminum door but I'm going to build wood framed ones for both. The aluminum ones to me are kind of flimsy.

Thanks, mel for taking the time to find that. There are some that have really pretty designs in the bottom. I don't know if I'll be that creative but I need something to keep my little Yorkie from scratching through it.
