I have more dishes than table. Does this make me a glamper?

Sure looks like glamper issues to me.
If you spend more time thinking about the decor for your camper than your house...you're a Glamper.

It's not vintage but it is melamine that looks like glass. I just can't travel with vintage glass. I did find some at the thrift store and have it stored in the other trailer for now. , And forget decor, I've spent more time, period, on my trailer than my house or any other part of my life for the last two years. I'm just now getting my head above water in the house.

Lol, I have no comment about this because I already have my dishes, fabric, counter top/sliders/table formica and made a mood bored of them all together so i could see what they all look like together haha. And I have not even started taking my trailer apart yet. So I think we may be 25% glampers and 75% campers due to the fact that our trailer are just going to look put together, not frilly. And we are keeping the original look of the campers

We think alike, Mel. I bought dishes before I ever started on the interior. And I was being practical. I did step up from the $1 plastic plates I camp with in my teardrop.

I believe you are a closet Glamper. It's time for you to "come out". Once you embrace your true identity you will feel much better!!! .... and you can buy more dishes!

Hope you are doing well. And I already have another set of vintage glass plates and no where to put them. I think I need to nip it in the bud before this habit gets too out of control.

A few examples I've seen at rallies... And if I dig into my archives I can really show you some Glamp Mania... An electric palm tree sets that tropical mood for Glampers... His and Her vintage bicycles are a must for any true Glamper... Pink Flamingos are an old favorite for the Glamping crowd... Throw in a palm tree and you're there. And finally... If you have a white picket fence outside of your trailer AND the pink flamingos... you might be a Glamper...

I saw one family with a full 1950's bar set up with stools... Not sure who convinced who to drag it to the rally, but it was really cool!

OK, I confess. I love to cook and to set a beautiful table. This has extended to Hamlet. We bought a set of retro Corelle dishes that has dinner, salad, and bread plates plus bowls. The table is too small to set them out formal-style, but when we have a salad, I serve it first course with the salad plate on top of the dinner plate, and if there's a soup course first, it's the soup bowl, salad plate, and dinner plate. We use the bread plates mostly for desserts. I also set out a full place setting of flatware if I'm going to do all the courses. And for breakfast, we have grapefruit spoons in the same 1959 "Twin Star" pattern as the rest of the flatware. Dish washing is easy, that's my hubby's job!

If you spend more time thinking about the decor for your camper than your house...you're a Glamper. Wow, I never thought I'd get to say this, but I'm feeling very balanced these days... -equally obsessed with house and trailer! Trailer plans got side tracked in spring of '14 when I bought a midcentury house that consumed my attention. My subsequent stay-cations brought my glamping fever indoors and forced the trailer to the back burner. And I'm right there with having made a collage board to see all of the colors, fabrics and surfaces side by side. Fixing up the trailer hasn't started, but shopping for all the goods has! I can't wait until both house and trailer feel like completed projects instead of works in progress.

I LOVE mid century houses, I would love to see photos And I completely understand your situation, we have been working on our 1919 house this summer instead of the camper. But come spring, i am going to ignore my house and this camper is getting done no matter what!

SusieQ, I think it's a wonderful thing to be talented in rehabbing a trailer while also making it beautiful with accessories. I bought vintage melamine dishes off Etsy before I ever took a J-rail off. The thought of actually putting dishes in the cupboards helped me keep at it. Embrace your inner Glamper.
