I've tried JR Products; it leaked right out of the box. Valterra also makes one and on Amazon, some folks have purchased 3 or 4 before they found one that doesn't leak! Are there any other better brands out there that I'm not finding? What's your experience? This manual pump is for a drinking water reservoir I keep under the counter. It sits next to the regular hot/cold chromed galley sink faucet, so whatever I use should be metal finished. Thanks!

I've had good luck with the Valterra Rocket hand pumps. They come in plastic chrome. Not many out there these days.
Sometimes they can be fixed with a little work. Sorry you're having this problem.

Thanks Vikx. The JR just can't be fixed; had my best people looking at it. It's just a piece of junk. I bought it back in March, so at this point I'll have to see if there is warranty coverage. Only cost $30. I'm looking at some of the marine outfitters. But with "marine" comes higher price. But I would like something that will last of course.

I broke down and put a Rocket one in my '62 in hopes that I'll find a vintage one day. But it worked really well. I didn't even connect to city water for the last month of my trip even though I could have.

Those look really nice. I'll add that to my wish list and start a fund.

Thanks. I've been looking at these at a Canadian dealers website at lower prices. The pump seems like it would be a simpler mechanism (fewer moving parts) than the rocker.

The price on the rocker pump is $75 US, from the above Canadian supplier.
