I can't find a source for good solid brass grommets. Ideas?

Do they have to be brass? I just bought the silver kind..? Are the brass one's better for some reason?

I want something that does not have steel in them because eventually they will rust. I can find "rust resistant" and "rust free brass plated" but both will rust eventually. Brass will tarnish, not rust.

Solid brass General 1/2" grommets on eBay. I also have found them at my local hardware store.

I agree with Kristi. The General grommets are solid and work fabulous in an awning setting. Available at Ace in many sizes with the grommet pounding hardware.

Thanks. Ace is the place. I had looked everywhere but there. Perfect. Solid brass and inexpensive.
