Using a cutting wheel, I removed a plate that was welded on the frame and found most of the vin. The center 2 numbers are unreadable due to the welding. So this is what I found WB 12621 **34. Is that what a Mobil Scout has for a vin if not, what does.

My 1965 had P65 M15 111. The 15 is the length. Not sure what the P is. The numbers were rather crudely stamped/scratched in the frame, not stamped. Very odd.

As soon as its light outside I will go back out and re-check the number.

After a lot of wire brushing I came up with what I feel is the complete vin number. WB 1262131034 The only number in question is the first 3 as the only thing showing is the bottom loop but it is the same loop as the second 3. If this is not the serial number of a mobile Scout what could it be and where can I go to find out

Here's our 65 VIN: As you can see, mine is very crude. Can you post a photo of the numbers and location? They should be on the tongue. If on the coupler, it "might" a patent # or? If your state is lenient, they may accept the found number and issue you a registration toward getting a title.

These are on the street side trailer tongue on top. If all Mobile scouts are marked like yours then mine is not a Mobile Scout.

I think yours is a Mobile Scout, just not a 65 marked by the same guy that did mine. LOL.
Wondering if yours is 67 or earlier? The 3 lights at top front and rear morphed into 5 in 1968. (I believe they were required)

I am trying to contact the PO to see if he has a title or registration for it, so far no good.

The trailer has been identified as a Winnabago, built sometime in the 59 to 61 range.
