If the stove is original I would think its a 1964, and it definitely looks like a shasta 1500

I have been watching this auction on Ebay all week. It is 1960 or later (jalousie windows) and definitely NOT an Airflyte...no rear side window streetside. Measuring may tell a different story, but appears to be a 1500. Check the layout of the sink and stove, the refrigerator and the cutout below it for the pull-out gaucho, and the cargo door and missing window streetside... vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/28/shasta-1500?page=1&scrollTo=69

Ten, Excellent thread. Sure enough, you and VintageBruce were right. It appears to be a 1500. Now for the year...1959, 60, 61, 62 or 63? By the way, I've been watching that auction too.

I think the stove looks later, I'd say at least 63...

I may be wrong, but didn't the design of the 1500 change in 64 or 65?
The stove looked 63ish to me too.

I went back and read the history of Shasta on the TCT wiki site and found one short paragraph that said:
"By early 1963, Shasta had added another production plant in Leola, Pennsylvania and was up to 5 different models of trailer. Later in that same year, the all-new model 1500 was offered to 5-star reviews. Again proving to the public, that the value that was built into the Shasta brand was well worth the low price!"
I interpret that to indicate that later in 1963, the all new (next gen shape) model 1500 was offered to 5-star reviews. So I now believe based on the stove and this paragraph that is a 1963 1500. Possibly one of the last canned ham shaped ones produced.

vintagebruce , That is pretty neat to know. I have been under the impression that the white-colored appliances didn't appear till about '66, after the change to the "toaster" lineup. Cool piece of information. I sure would love a gander underneath that sink counter in this one....

I sure would love a gander underneath that sink counter in this one.... Why under the sink counter? For a date stamp? VintageBruce, you are a wealth of information. Thanks again.

Yeah, sometimes the sinks are dated, as are the mirrors... Ya never know what you'll discover.
