But they keep following me home! Anyone looking for a used "Pathfinder" trailer? I know where there is one....It showed up here last night. I haven't actually measured it but I think it's about 14 foot. It has (had) propane lighting, propane cooktop, looks like originally was an icebox installed, onboard water tank with pump faucet, city water hookup, no bathroom, 110-V electric, and I haven't found yet, but suppose probably 12-V lighting as well. Surprisingly solid for 50 years old, and was last on the road in NY in 1990. It spent some years stored inside, and then has been very recently dry-camped in on private wooded lands. Some rot, and as far as restoration goes, I would say needs to be taken to the frame to do it right.

This has the most headroom of anything I've seen. No overhead cupboards or bunks. Lots of storage otherwise, and LOADS of sleeping room. The rear pull-out measures a full 80-inches long! The front dinette table drops into a bed, and the cushions measure 42 inches long 9width of the bed that is...)

Gas lighting... Full-on Glen Aire furnace.... Onboard water supply.... Replacement for ice box.... Unique fiberglass profile sink, with dual water access... Custom dinette table.... And the mainstay of all 60's trailers, the entertainment center...

I'm not really in love with this one yet...as I am just now getting the SC onto the road. I took it out of the driveway for the first time this morning... And when it is ready to go (they are never really "finished"...) then this one is next... I think I would consider the Pathfinder a "rescue" rather than a "find"...I'm just fostering it for a while, if someone were really interested in restoring it. I know I can't get to it for a very long while. For the right money, I'd even consider delivering it as long as it is still on the trailer!

I like the idea of "Fostering it"...you would be kind of setting up a no kill shelter for vintage campers until they can find their forever home. Just be careful. We have Fostered a number of very hard to place rescues, the latest one being a blind, deaf, heartworm positive 15 year old very active and affectionate female Terrier...our only flaw in the plan is our Fosters arrive, but never move out...

The same problem occurs naturally with these campers. I already feel like I'm running the "Camper Motel"..."They check in but they don't check out".... The neighbors are already wondering about all the campers accumulating...wait'll they see all the Pit Bulls that we'll need to protect them!
