Totally newby, non-electrical savvy, question. I know. Sorry. So - the light fixture over my 1959 Shasta's dinette actually disconnected during a drive. It had been hanging from one wire, and I told myself I'd fix it when I got home and could get a screw to re-fasten it. Unfortunately, when I got home - the porcelain cylinder had detached completely. I have one black wire and one white wire, hanging from the fixture and the white porcelain cylinder completely detached for the socket. There are two possible attachments for the wire, but no indication of which one goes where... and no real method that I can see to reattach the wires. Help, please? How can I reattach this socket to the wires? I can post photos if you need to see what I'm talking about!

If your fixture has fallen apart it is UNSAFE to use unless repaired by someone with sound electrical knowledge. It's possible the attachment has broken loose from the porcelain socket...
Please do post a photo.

Do NOT plug your trailer in to AC power until this is repaired. Electricity is not to be taken lightly. With more information/pictures we can help, even so, unless you have the utmost confidence and clearly understand what you are doing, the repair may be best left to someone who does. Be safe.
