I'm in the final stages of putting Dot back together. When I took her wings off, they were painted a mustard yellow color like the body striping. I stripped the wings down to the silver/aluminum and gutter sealed them.
If "you" were putting these wings back on this trailer would you leave them silver (Silver Streak) or paint them with the same color I just painted the stripes (Old Yeller). What say you? Silver Streak or Old Yeller? Thanks for playing along.
Here's the original pic of Dot the with the Old Yeller Theme going...

I think that you'll find that the majority of the folks here are purists and like to see things as original as possible. That's my vote... no paint.

So far, Silver Streak is winning by a mile (lol, no surprise there). Yep, they'll stay silver...just making some VTT chatter (grin). RJ

I vote no paint, too.
Otherwise they may look like homemade wings.

At the risk of making everyone with painted wings a bit paranoid, it's a no-brainer...Silver Streak!!!

As usual, I find myself bucking the tide. When I first saw your pics of the yellow wings I thought, that's different, I like it. Still feel that way. However, since you plan to sell, you should probably appeal to the masses.

LOL Rin Tin...you were saved. I actually did a web search for...bad two toned paint schemes... figuring RJ's previous paint scheme would figure prominently in the results...Apparently the PC crowed prevailed and the original paint scheme did not pop up in the results...but it should have! Although Dot and RJ know all PO's taste was in his mouth.
