Ace campers were build in ALfred Maine and at one point adrundel. Did you buy the one with the Red strip and the trunk? Saw that one and almost made the 4 hour trip. I had an Ace of Hearts 1966 which I sold to a woman in Maine last fall. I have some more info I can share with you if you PM me here. I can also put you in touch with some other ACE owners if you have Facebook

Greetings from Maine! I just purchased a 1961 Ace Camper(all original and in great condition). I was told that it was made in Lisbon Falls Maine. I can find no info on ACE campers anywhere.
Good day! I'm a new member - hello to all..
I too, have just recently purchased a 1960 Ace Camper (cabover). I have never purchased a vintage before and I have found there are definately some fixes that are required. However, with that said I don't feel that it's too extensive. I am fairly handy so plan to try my hand at some of the work. The interior has been updated with cedar front-back and white barnboard walls. I love it. Its incredibly simple; no stove/oven or potti. She's at ALT RV in Monmouth Me right now; new wire harness is done to include the breakaway which had not previously been wired, bearings/tires all checked and good-to-go, a new roof vent is being installed (yes, Butyl tape is being used . Some of my next-step fixes/updates are: Replace all the 2x2 wood around the bottom of the frame. (hoping this isn't too difficult and hoping I can do this) Install new underbelly material (already purchased so that i can enclose the underbelly once the wiring is completed). I can only do this once I have the 2x2 replaced.
Trim the caulking that was used around the exterior trim. * i need to research how to re-seal this properly before I have her painted. - Sand/Paint
- Repair/Replace the 'tapered' inbound water line to the sink. ??Can I replace with this standard PEX and fitting?
This list is for 2023. I really want to 'enjoy' her this season as Maine's camping season is only thru October. Then, I will have the winter to work on other less pressing matters. I really would like to see what condition the insulation is where the former owner put up the barnboard and cedar wood.
Any suggestions are most welcome. Prior owner has been helpful with Before /During pics of the interior refab, but I'm most concerned presently with the foundational matters as I mentioned that they did not get to (but didn't mention the extent of when I purchased). I'm not looking forward to sanding/prepping for paint, so maybe I'll hire that out?!.. haha! I have found some great how-to's for painting myself so I don't see that as a problem.
I'm not daunted.. just want to ensure she is closed in underneath and then deal with less pressing matters later.
Hollyhock... where are you in Maine? Are you aware of the Vintage Rally being held at Shore Hills Campground in Boothbay Harbor the 1st weekend of June? I have a site and if you can make it for the weekend or a day, hope we can meet up.
