Now I'm just guessing at this... But I wonder if that black stuff on top is that spray on rubber goop that they sell on TV. They seal up a screen door bottom boat with it LOL...

Another guess would be a glued on rubber roof. My guess as to age would be 1966 or 67 based to the number and lack of clearance lights.

Another guess would be a glued on rubber roof. In black? All the material I have seen made for roof membranes has been white. The rubber roof they used as an extra large flashing (about 8 feet wide) where the roof steps up on my house was black then they put the dimensional shingles over top of the rubber roof for appearance.

In black? All the material I have seen made for roof membranes has been white. The rubber roof they used as an extra large flashing (about 8 feet wide) where the roof steps up on my house was black then they put the dimensional shingles over top of the rubber roof for appearance. Oh ok Bill I have seen black roofing membrane for houses. I think they call it "bitchothane" here.

That black goo is some kind of peel and stick the previous owner must have gotten tired of the leaks and it sticks at 70 mph and I questioned the black. Would be nice to know the make and year.
